THE WONDERFUL BURDEN OF THE LIGHT!

Praise the Lord everybody, let everything that has breath praise His holy name!! For He has done great things!! I love the Lord, and if loving him is wrong, I don't want to be right! I can't say it enough, these are exciting times we are living in if you have ears to hear and eyes to see what God is doing in these last and evil days. God is pouring out His spirit and old men like me are seeing visions and young men are dreaming dreams.

I just want to share a little something God dropped in my spirit the other day. It started when I heard a preacher on TV read the scripture, Matthew 11:28-30  28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I love this scripture but it was verse thirty that got my attention, especially the last five words, "... and my burden is light." It hit me like never before "GOD GIVES US A BURDEN!" I said to myself
God gives us an individual burden when we get saved, and He also gives us a general burden that we who make up the body of Christ all share. God has given us all a burden for souls as we carry the gospel of Christ to the world and we are also called to be a light to those lost in the darkness of this world. Jesus says in Matthew 5:14-16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Not only is Gods burden light, His burden is light. The "light" of God that shines through those of us who are walking in His light, must not be snuffed out by sin or hidden under a "bushel" of religeous ceremony or practices. Our burden is to carry that light wherever we go so that it can be seen by others causing them to want to glorify God with their lives also.

1st John 1:4-7 states   4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

This is the wonderful burden that God has given us, to be the carriers of the light in a dark world and to live a life worthy of that task.

JESUS IS COMING SOON: ARE YOU LIVING LIKE YOU BELIEVE IT?

Praise the Lord everybody! Let everything that has breath praise His holy name! The Lord is in His holy Temple, praise Him. The Lord is revealing himself more and more in these Last and evil days. God is beginning to pour out His spirit upon all flesh.

I'm an okay singer, but I still love singing God's praise. I love worshiping Him. The other day I was at the "hour of power" service at my church and we were worshiping and rejoicing in the fact that Jesus was soon to come, based on the "signs of the times." As I sat there praising His coming, I heard a voice speak saying "are you really ready for my Son to come back? are you really living like He could come back at any time?" I had to stop praising and think about it.

I asked myself, "If Jesus came back right now, would I be caught up to meet Him, or would I be left behind?" When I thought about it I realized that I like many in the body of Christ, was not always living as if I really believed that God was coming back any day now. I prayed about it and sang about it but I did not always "live about it."

Matthew 24: 37-46 states       37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

Jesus is coming back soon and God is warning us that if we have not been living like we truly believe that, then we better start living like we believe starting now. The signs of the times are everywhere, these are the last of the last days and God is warning His people and pouring out His spirit. When I think about it I realize there were many times I was doing some things or saying some things I would not have wanted Jesus to catch me doing or saying.

It's easy to sing songs and spit out words, but even the world knows actions speak louder than words. I want Jesus to find me doing what I've been called to do and LIVING in grateful anticipation of His return.

IN THE CLEFT OF THE ROCK: REVISITED

Bless the Lord, oh my soul! God is great and greatly to be praised! I love the lord and I strive every day to be the man of God I am called to be. Sometimes during that process, I have to look back at some of the lessons God has taught me, lessons I have shared with you all here in my blog. The following is such a lesson, there is a place I need to get to in God and after reading this, I believe you all will want to get there too.

So here is "IN THE CLEFT OF THE ROCK" I pray it blesses you and re-ignites your fire as it did me.

I've been very close to some mighty big blessings over the years, then I would self-destruct and miss out on a long awaited blessing that came so close I could taste it. Not this year, this year I want to feel Him all over me like I used to. This year I'm not asking for a little more Jesus, I'm giving Jesus more of me. In other words all of me.

A little over a week ago as I was meditating during my weekly consecration I told God these things and He brought to mind the following scripture and at first I did not get the connection, Exodus 33: 18-23  .18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

21 And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

After awhile I realized God was letting me know that if I desired to get to where I wanted to be in Him,  that there was a place near to Him from which I could see His glory at work in my Life. A safe place where I could stand upon a rock, a rock Named Jesus and God would put me in a place in that rock, a cleft, a hiding place where I could stand and watch God work in my life.

Many times we who name Christ Jesus as our Lord and savior want to see God's full glory pass through our lives but we do not want to get in the place that God wants to put us so that we can watch him work for us and in us in His fullness. we have to get in a cleft of the rock. A cleft is a crack, a crevice, a split in the rock, a small place with just enough room for you to stand with no room for a lot of movement. To many of us want to move around trying to handle our own business along with our friends business instead of doing what God wants us to do "stand still and watch me work". Getting to these clefts is no easy task, it requires much dedication to prayer and fasting, denying oneself in order to experience God's fullness in our lives. When I was younger it was easier to reach those clefts but as I get older it seems to become harder.

I'm tired of just saying and singing "God is my all and all" I want Him to BE my All and All. I want to again abide in the cleft of the Rock, how about you?

MARTYR OR SELF-MARTYRDOM: EITHER WAY WE ALL HAVE TO DIE.

Praise the Lord everybody, let everything that has breath praise His holy name. God is moving by His spirit in these last and evil days. I look forward to being a witness as Gods plan unfolds and God willing, I live to see it all happen.

today I’d like to share with you on the subject of death and dying as it pertains to those of us who are Christians or as I like to call myself a “true believer.” I think every Christian at one time or another has searched themselves over the question of martyrdom. We all wonder what we would do if we had to make that choice of living for self or dying for our faith in Christ.

The thing is God has already called us to die. The dictionary describes a “martyr” as these two things: One who chooses to suffer death rather than renounce religious principles.
2. One who makes great sacrifices or suffers much in order to further a belief, cause, or principle.

Let’s look at number two; this describes what makes all true Christians a “martyr”. Jesus said in Mark 8:34-35  34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
Paul also states in Colossians 3:1-4
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where ChIf ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

God has called us to be “self-martyrs.” To Commit self-martyrdom. Paul tells us that we no longer live but it is Christ who lives through us and in us. (see Galatians 2:20) Once we as Christians grasp the fact that “we” no longer live and no longer are subject to our fleshly desires, it becomes easier for us to live a sacrificial life. Romans 12:1 states I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

If you have read Acts chapters 6 and 7 then you are familiar with a true believer named Stephan who was the first Christian martyr. The bible says he was full of the Holy Spirit and his ministry was followed by “signs and wonders.” He was put on trial by the Pharisees and Sadducees for preaching the “blasphemy” of the gospel of Christ. He was found guilty and was taken out and stoned to death. Acts chapter seven states that Stephen did not deny Christ nor plead for his life verses 59 and 60 states 59 and they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord; lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
You see Stephen was already a martyr, he had died to self a long time before this happened. His flesh did not cry out to live because he had already mortified his flesh and all he could see was Jesus as he asked God to forgive his accusers.
When we can get to the point in our relationships with Christ that Stephan had achieved we won’t have to question ourselves about whether or not we would be willing to die for our faith.  We will be ready willing and able to lay our lives down for our faith, and then we will know what Paul was feeling when he stated in Philippians 1:21 for to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Finally my Brothers and Sisters, I say give your lives totally to Christ and let Him decide what to do with it.

JESUS CHRIST: A LEGACY WORTH PRESERVING

Praise the Lord everybody! Let everything that has breath praise His holy name!! I bless the Lord, I bless the Lord, and His praise shall forever be in my mouth. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate what God is doing in my life. The fact that I woke up this morning in the land of the living is reason enough to praise God, He alone is worthy to be praised.

As I left the weekly "hour of power" service at my church this week began to gaze out the window of the Access A Ride vehicle, and as we rolled through the streets of Harlem on our way home to the Bronx, I began to feel something stir up in my spirit. I began to take notice of all the refurbished BrownStone buildings, some were show pieces while others were still in the process of being renovated. I watched as people struggled to maintain a legacy, an earthly history and something that would bring a certain historic charm to their world.

The Lord began to speak through His spirit, telling me how these people were struggling to maintain a history that can not be saved. He reminded me of what Jesus told the Pharisees in Matthew 24:1+2   And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

I began to see man as God saw us, struggling to hold on to what can not be held on to, holding on feebly to the natural when we needed to be holding onto that which is spiritual. We are not concerned as much about our spiritual legacies as we should be. Our lives here on earth have become too precious to us, our own creations and ideas fill our hearts and minds. Being out and about our fathers business is something the world rarely thinks about and Christians are following the world instead of Christ.

Paul states in Colossians 3:1-3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

We need to remember who's we are and whom we serve. For the short amount of time we are here on earth God has a mission for us, It's not about establishing our legacy, it's about building the legacy of Jesus Christ. Jesus died for us so that by His blood we could be saved from ourselves and reconciled with God. The only thing Jesus was concerned about leaving behind as His "legacy" was His Gospel, and the Holy spirit to empower man to spread the Gospel and to live Godly lifestyles.

As men and woman of God, our concern should be that we bear spiritual fruit, rather than worldly fruit. Jesus states in John 15:1-5    I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Let us bear the fruit that God requires and not the fruit that flesh desires.

WHAT KIND OF CROWN ARE YOU LABORING FOR?

Praise the Lord everybody! let everything that has breath praise his holy name. I was going to say that "God is doing a new thing in the church" but that would not be true. God is doing what He has always been doing, trying to bring His saints up to a level of acceptability for the Bride Groom. Time is short and God is getting ready to gather His children.

God has instructed us through His word in 1st Peter 5: 5+6  5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

God has called us to walk in humility and not pride. but when you walk into Churches all over this country and you see what appears to be a competition for which sister or brother has the best outfit on that particular Sunday you begin to wonder.

You see the Saints of God battling over positions and titles like employees at a Fortune 500 company. Unfortunately, I find this to be more prevalent among the woman in our Churches. breaking off into different "sororities", Alphas with Alphas and Omegas with Omegas, each group eyeballing the other and commenting on everything from each others' shoes to who has the better hair.
Well, it's time out for that. It is time out for separation in the congregation, this is not the Miss America contest where they compete for a fake diamond crown of approval, God has called us to something better.
Paul tells us in 2nd Timothy 4:7+8  7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

James 1:12 also tells us,  Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him

We need to stop competing over what we physically wear and be more concerned about whether we are "clothed in the spirit" or not.(Luke 24:49) Brothers and Sisters, it is harvest time and time to make up our minds about what we are laboring for. Are we in this to be seen and approved by men, or are we in this to serve God and show Him our love for Him because He first demonstrated His love for us? Are we seeking a corruptible crown made by human hands or an incorruptible "well done" crown from God? The choice is ours to make.

PASTOR CAN YOU TONE THAT DOWN A LITTLE: REVISITED

Praise the Lord everybody!! let everything that has breath praise His holy name! Because He has done great things. Today God has put it on my heart to share again a post I first posted over six years ago, it was relevant then and unfortunately, it is still relevant today.
I pray that one day that will no longer be the case.

PASTOR CAN YOU TONE THAT DOWN A LITTLE!

Through it all God has been faithful regarding His ministry, Speaking Off The Wall. Giving me eyes to see and giving me what to write concerning the Body of Christ. Lately, I have seen Preachers and Pastors like my own Pastor who preaches about living holy and forsaking sin, no matter if that sin is homosexuality, fornication, lying, or stealing. They are preaching Holy Ghost messages straight from the Throne and heart of God. Yet their Churches are not thriving, people are leaving and going where they can hear a more "user-friendly" message just like the children of Israel in Deuteronomy chapter five.

Deuteronomy. 5:22-27    22 These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone and delivered them unto me.

23 And it came to pass when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;

24 And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

25 Now, therefore, why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die.

26 For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived? 27 Go thou near and hear all that the Lord our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee, and we will hear it, and do it.

They could not stand before God and His Holy glory because in their hearts they knew that they were carrying with them the idols and sin they picked up in captivity and they were not willing to forsake them. They knew that no flesh could stand before God and live and they wanted to continue to feed their flesh and not die to it. They were hoping that the sheer holiness of His glory would get lost in translation. "You speak to God and then you speak to us for Him so that we don't have to die!" meaning die to their sin.

God is raising up a remnant of holy men of God, Holy Ghost-filled and uncompromising to preach to his people. Preaching with power and authority and the convicting power of the Holy Ghost. Now just as then there are those who count themselves as part of the body of Christ, Christians, who when they hear the anointed word of God coming from the pulpit with conviction and power refuse to die but rather say " Good word Pastor, that's telling them!" and continue on in their sin, or they say "Pastor can't you tone all that fire and brimstone down God is a God of love." Others just up and leave saying "It doesn't take all that, God knows my heart."

Even though the Children of Israel said they would do everything that God would tell them through Moses God knew better and said in verses 29, 29 O that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!

News flash! We must be willing to forsake our flesh and die to sin, God has called us to that. Paul said "I die daily" The things that Paul went through he could not do in his flesh. He had to die to self
We must not run from the Holiness and majesty of God and the convicting power of his spirit and word but embrace it, asking God to deliver us from our secret sin, to help us mortify our flesh and appreciate the Godly sorrow we feel when we fall short of the mark.
You Holy Ghost Pastors keep preaching Holy Ghost fire until that day when God closes your mouth and says "well done".

God bless you all, Brother Darrell, Speaking Off The Wall

THE CHURCH OF THE CASUAL CHRISTIAN!!

Praise the Lord everybody, let everything that has breath praise His holy name!! I can't thank God enough for His grace and His mercies that are new every morning. He who has ears, let him hear, and he who has eyes, let him see.

Those of us who have our spiritual eyes and ears open realize that God is moving in a mighty way in the Church. God is getting His body in order as a "bride" for her wedding. and He is pulling off covers and exposing the transgressions of each and every church just as He did in Revelations chapter 3.

First, the Lord admonished the Church at Sardi and then went on to the Church of Philadelphia and addressed it's infractions. None was blameless but both had some redeeming qualities, then He came to the Church at Laodicea, and this is what God said, Revelations 3: 14 to 18   14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

God is sickened by "lukewarm" Christians and even though Sardis and Philadelphia had their issues they were not casual about their faith as were the Laodiceans. They put their trust in their wealth and possessions and saw no need to trust Him. A lot of Christian "elitist" are that way today, they tell other more devout Christians "that's good for you, you need to hold on to your faith like that because of where God has brought you from." they look down on those of us who God has delivered from drugs, alcoholism, prostitution, gambling, and homosexuality, etc. To them, God is just something or someone to fall back on when their own plans don't work out.

The Church at Laodicea along with the others needed an attitude adjustment and Jesus went on to say in verses 19 - 22   19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

God desires a zealous church, a church willing to confess and repent from sin, A Church that realizes that God chastens those He loves. To the body of Christ, I say Jesus is standing at our doors and knocking. What will He find when He walks in your church? Will there be casual indifference or holy ghost fire?

HOLY GHOST POWER: THERE IS NO APP FOR THAT!!

Praise the Lord everybody!! The Lord is in His holy Temple! Let everything that has breath praise His holy name! No matter how many times the devil attacks my body, no matter the pain, I will never turn my back on God because He has never turned His back on me. You see no matter what the enemy says, I know from whence cometh my help, my help comes from the Lord!

The Lord opened up something to me while I was reading one of my favorite scriptures the other night. It was Psalm 24: 7-10 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

The Lord was showing me that His people were no longer looking to Him for answers nor to supply their needs. We have turned to ourselves and the wisdom of the world in our times of need. We see the world with all of it's fast growing technology and we are amazed and we are sucked into it's "we have an app for everything" mindset. Who needs the Holy Ghost when we have "google" and "Siri."
Many Christians feel that depending on God has too many requirements to be met before you can get your problems resolved and you have to do too much "waiting on Him" in this microwave world. "God is too slow," they say. The world cries "Seize the day!" without acknowledging the God who made it. We should know better. David said in Psalm 121: 1+2   I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

We must lift up our eyes like David said and seek the one who made the heavens and the earth. Psalm 24 tells us to " Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." God, by His spirit, wants to come into our lives and be an ever present help to us, but first, we must lift up our heads and seek His face, invite Him in and look to him for all our needs.

God wants us to look up so He can lift us up. Next time we find ourselves in a situation where our anxiety levels are rising as we struggle trying to find a solution on our own, let us lift up our heads in complete surrender and let the King of Glory, with His holy Ghost power, come in and handle the problem.
Jesus said in Revelation 3:20    20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Man may have the APPs, AI and robotics to call on but we have the creator of creation to call on, Jesus Christ.

TAKING OWNERSHIP OF OUR GOD GIVEN POSSESSIONS!!!

Praise the Lord everybody!! Let everything that has breath praise His holy name. God is clearly doing great things these days as He prepares for these last of the last days. He is getting His people into their proper places in the body of Christ so they can be at their most effective in these final days of the harvest.

God has given us who are saved and under the blood of Jesus the power and the weapons, in His word, to take back from Satan what He stole from us from the beginning in the Garden. Satan became the Prince of this world after Adam and Eve were hoodwinked by Satan, and Satan wasted no time establishing his dominion over it.
In Job 1:6+7 verifies this   6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

There was Satan basically boasting about how he had been on earth doing just about anything he wanted to do in it. Satan shows that he has no problem exploring his boundaries and the full extent of his power. Satan is fully aware of who he is and the extent of his power.

We as Christians must stop shortchanging ourselves. We have to remember God's promises and start taking possession of our possessions. We need to study God's word and learn what our inheritance is in Christ and like satan begin to walk "to and fro" and "up and down" in them. Preachers need to preach, teachers need to teach, prayer warriors need to pray and soldiers have to keep on soldiering. We can't be afraid to get in the devils face because he's not afraid to get in ours.

The word of God says in Proverbs 28:1  The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

We have to know that when we go out into the world we do not walk alone we are working on Holy Ghost power. we have weapons at our beck and call, God's word which is filled with His promises and God is not slack concerning His promises. It is time to put our gifts to work, in their fulness, for the Lord. It is time to rebuke Satan and call out demons, heal the sick and open blind eyes. We need to Stop using our gifts to win awards and adulation from men and the world and start using them to touch and change the hearts and minds of the lost and the saved. WALK UP AND DOWN IN WHO AND WHAT GOD CALLED YOU TO BE!

GOD SWEATS THE DETAILS!

Praise the Lord everybody, let all who have breath praise His holy name!! God has put me in a situation where I'm either going to trust Him or trust myself. God has been showing me that I just don't trust Him enough when it comes to certain situations that I have found myself in. I find myself falling into the trap that many of my fellow Brothers and Sisters have found themselves in. We try to take control of our own destiny instead of waiting on God for His instructions on how to handle the situation. We do not believe that God is concerned enough about us to get involved in our day to day living.
David said in Psalm 8:4 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Even David, who has been called "a man after God's own heart," could not fathom God's concern and interest in us. But from the beginning, God displayed His concern for His creation. Genesis 2:18 - 20   18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

19 And out of the ground, the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam, there was not found a help meet for him.

God has always been concerned about His creation, whom He made in His own image and gave dominion over all his other creations. Our comfort has always been "job one" with Him. He gave us Woman when He saw we needed the companionship of a helpmate. When we fell from grace He made a way for us to get right with Him. David said in Psalm 139:14 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

God cared enough to give us the best anatomy systems. Systems that no matter how much we try to understand and reproduce them, man cannot recreate the genius of God's intricate design. Jesus even tells us in Matthew 10:29 - 31   29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Fear ye not, therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

God has numbered the very hairs on our heads! How great is that? I get angry when I hear nonbelievers and even believers, say to other believers "who do you think you are?"or "what makes you think God has time to deal with your daily issues? God doesn't care whether you get to work on time or not" I feel for those who feel that way, they don't know the God that I know.
Paul tells us in Philippians 4:6+7  6 Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Paul said "in everything" not just what we decide is "important," In everything, we should pray and ask God with thanksgiving to help us with whatever it is that concerns us. In 1st Peter 5:6+7 it says
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

We have to truly humble ourselves under Gods hand and realize we can't fix anything without His help, casting all, yes all our cares and concerns upon God because He does care for us. Jesus said in Matthew 11: 28 to 30 28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

So let us unburden ourselves of worldly concerns and anxieties and put them where they belong, On Jesus Christ our Lord.

IN CHRIST BY AFFILIATION!!

Praise the Lord everybody! Let everything that has breath praise His holy name! because He alone is worthy of all our praise. I love what the Lord is doing in my life right now. I can't tell you how important it was for me to totally submit myself to God's plan for me so that I could finally grow into the man of God I am called to be.
This is not a one-time submission, this is a lifetime submission because I am ever evolving into a higher position in Christ. God is concerned that a large number of Christian are becoming "lifers", meaning those who claim to have been "saved for years" but have not grown one inch since that day. They have become stumbling blocks and "millstones" around their own necks and those who are new and are trying to grow in Christ.

Jesus rebuked the Pharisees of yesterday and today when He said in Matthew 23:1-13    Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,

2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:

3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Today a lot of Christians want to be affiliated with Jesus without becoming too involved. They don't want to get involved in the following doctrine or the process of sanctification and living holy. They just want to be seen in church on Sunday and do their own thing the rest of the week. They don't want to be totally washed clean by the blood of Jesus, they just want a little "sprinkling" so they can say they had the experience.

The Church is in need of more members with the spirit of Peter who expressed how he felt about following Jesus in John 13: 3-9  3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands and that he was come from God, and went to God;

4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

5 After that, he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

Peter was all in!! Peter wanted all the Jesus he could get. If it meant getting closer to  Jesus then Peter wanted to be totally washed and submerged in Christ. We all need to wash the world off of us and out of us as we walk this walk with Jesus. We are in the last of the last days and there is no time for looking back into our past lives and holding on to those things that pleased our flesh.

We can no longer be Christian by Affiliation only, we must now be in Christ by not only Affiliation but also by facilitation and consecration. We must remain in constant fellowship, we must do what we can to help facilitate the spread of the Gospel of Christ while remaining a holy and consecrated example for the world to see and follow.

DYING, AND LOOKING GOOD DOING IT!!

Praise the Lord everybody!! Let everything that has breath praise His holy name!! I will bless the Lord at all times, His praises shall be continually in my mouth. I am in the middle of a fiery trial right now but I am going to praise God anyhow!! I know from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord!!

I am late with blog post because of technical problems with my computer, I need a new one but God allowed me to get this one repaired. Now my air conditioner, which is only a year old is blowing hot air in the middle of a historic heat wave. I do not do well in heat!! but I trust that God will bring me through this. God cannot and will not fail me in my time of need. Hallelujah!!

More and more I have learned to die to self. The flesh and self, go hand in hand. My flesh, my selfish desires are what always get me in trouble. When I was using drugs it was one of the most selfish times of my life, I wanted what I wanted when I wanted it and nothing and nobody else mattered. When I finally realized that God was more important to me than drugs, that's when I was able to quit. Paul said "...I die daily" in 1st Corinthians 15:31, something I am still learning to do on a daily basis. Paul also stated in Romans 8: 12-14
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
Every day I fight a life and death battle with myself in hopes that I die, to myself. I have to completely die so that Jesus can completely live through me, and so I can have a closer relationship with God.When Jesus tells us we must "take up your cross and follow me" He is reminding us that we must die in the flesh daily, the cross being a reminder of how He suffered and how we must also suffer in the flesh.

The bible says "no flesh shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven" so now my goal is to kill my "self" and let the beauty of Christ shine through me. I no longer want to be stained by the ugliness of sin, I want to be marked by the beauty of holiness. Living holy sounds "pretty" but it is not for the faint at heart but compared to the ugliness of sin, Death looks good on me.

CHRISTIAN CARBS: THE PROMISES OF GOD!!

Praise the Lord everybody! Let everything that has breath praise His holy name. God has been so good to me, His grace and His mercy toward me have been indescibable, what more can I say, other than "oh taste and see that the Lord, He is good!"

I think that we can all agree that we are living in the last of the last days. If your spiritual eyI es are open you can see this for yourself. As we get closer and closer to that "great gettin' up morning" more and more Christians are experiencing anxiety and some are even abandoning their faith. Some have expressed a feeling of despair and a lack of hope. They are like marathon runners who run out of energy in the final leg of the race.

God's word says in Hebrews 12:1   Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

In the world, marathon runners "carbo load" the night before the big race, meaning they eat big plates of pasta for its carbohydrates which they burn for power and endurance during the race. As Christians, we also have a race to run. It is a spiritual marathon and the bible says in Matthew 12:12-13  12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

In order for us to endure, we must also "carbo load." Christian carbs consist of God's word and His promises. God has given us His word for such a time as this. We must load up on these things if we expect to finish this race in the winners circle. If you are not aware of God's word and it's promises, you have nothing to call on when the going gets tough and you're running up "heartbreak hill trying to make the finish line".

The bible is filled with God's promises, such as Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Titus 1:2  In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

The bible is filled with God's promises, this was just a very small sample. The bible also says in 1st Corinthians 9:24  Know ye not that those who run in a race all run, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain it.

If you want to run this race and win, you have to be fueled up with the word of God. "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him" another of God's promises designed to help us to run and endure this race till the end.

THE NEW MONEY CHANGERS: BEWARE OF THE NONI JUICE

Praise the Lord everybody! let everything that has breath praise His holy name. I can't thank God enough for His grace and His mercy, He has demonstrated it to me by waking me up this morning, one more time. He did it even though I didn't deserve it. I look forward to every day just to see what He has in store for me.

In my last post, I wrote about God's plan for anger management.
Today I would like to share what God has shared with me about something He was angry about when Jesus was here among us and is still angry about today. Jesus first addresses it in John 2: 13-16  13 And the Jews' Passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:

15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

Fundraising in the Church is one thing but Jesus was upset because some in the Temple was trying to turn a profit by selling "merchandise" in the form of sacrifices to their fellow Jews who had come to worship. In today's Church, the moneychangers have quietly crept in from the outer courts into the sanctuary itself. You may be asking yourself, "who are these moneychangers?"

They are our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. The first time I noticed was ten or twenty years ago or so, I started seeing little ads. on the church bulletin board describing this lifesaving drink that had healed many people and it was called "Noni juice" and all you had to do to get your "body right" was go and see sister or brother "Smith." They advertised their wares in the church bulletins and even the backs of the Sunday Programs.

Since "Noni Juice" The amount and the variety of "merchandise" has grown by leaps and bounds. I have been approached by my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ about everything from vitamins to "Christian" car insurance. All these things designed to line the pockets of the seller and all offered to you as if God was using them to bless you. Some even came with "testiphonies" from the seller.
God understands that some of us want to augment our salaries by selling Avon, Noni juice and whatever merchandise that is trending at the time. But what is not acceptable is selling things to other Christians whether they need them or not just to boost your sales and then adding insult to injury by telling them that "God put it in my spirit to offer this blessing to you." Don't be the cause of your sister or brother not being a "good steward" with God's money by talking him or her into buying something that either they don't need or something that doesn't live up to the hype.

If you want to be an entrepreneur, get a website, send out e-mails and stop shaming your brothers and sisters into buying your products while at church. If there is a specific need make that need known and God will make a way to meet that need.
LET US KEEP THE "HOUSE OF PRAYER A HOUSE OF PRAYER!

IN THE CASE OF ANGER: SLOW IS GOOD!!

Praise the Lord everybody! Let everything that has breath praise His holy name. Again I can not begin to give God enough praise for what He is doing in my life. My wife and I are about to go through a three-week trial that I know will require much prayer and grace. But I know God will see us through.

I'd like to share with you an article I was asked to write for another site. I pray it blesses you.

There are several things that I have found that can stunt our growth as Christian men and woman and one of those things is anger. Anger and unforgiveness are a deadly combination. Let’s focus on ANGER for now. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:26+27 26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

This lets us know that anger in of itself is not a sin. It is one of our God-given emotions. God is letting us know that there is a Godly or righteous anger that is acceptable to Him. God gave us our emotions to help us control and express our feelings, and not the other way around, as when Jesus threw the money-changers out of the temple in Matthew 21:12. Jesus was angered but did not sin. God warns us not to sin due to our anger and commit an act like disobedience or hurting someone physically. Moses struck the rock out of anger and because of his disobedience was not allowed into the promised land along with the Children of Israel. Read Numbers chapter 20.

The bible addresses anger also in James 1:19+20 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

If we follow those instructions we will find that we will encounter fewer opportunities to get angry or sin in our anger. God is letting us know that man’s anger stems from the flesh and does not encompass the righteousness of God. If we are quick to listen, listen to what the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us when we find ourselves in various situations that can lead to frustration and anger. At the same time, we must be slow to speak, making sure we measure the impact of every word we speak and making sure that our every word is seasoned with salt and grace toward the hearer.(see Colossians 4:6) Then we must be slow to wrath or anger, examining the reason for our anger as to whether it is Godly righteous indignation or of the flesh.
Ephesians 4:29-32 states 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

This scripture puts it in a nutshell. As Christians, we must remember to do these things out of obedience and also in appreciation of what God has done for us. When feelings of anger begin to well up inside us think of these words always remembering also that we have the mind of Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide us.

CHRISTIANS AND MARRIAGE: HEAVEN OR HELL? IT'S UP TO YOU!

Praise the Lord everybody! Because He alone is worthy to be praised! I can't even begin to tell you how good God has been to me. Some who are watching my life from the outside might disagree, but they don't know like I know what God has done and is doing for me.
I have been a little slow when it comes to posting recently because God has been blessing me through my freelance writing business lately through a site called Fiverr.com. I'd like to share with you a teaching God blessed me to write for a client on Fiverr.

   HOPE FOR THE CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE

Praise the Lord everybody, for He alone is worthy to be praised.
I guess everybody knows by now that the divorce rate in the church has reached the point where it has drawn even with that of the World. Ever since Moses men have sought to get out of their marriages, Jesus was asked about this in Matthew 19:3-9  3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.  9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Jesus makes an important point all married couples need to remember, and that is when a man and a woman come together in marriage the two become one flesh. A married couple can no longer see themselves as two separate entities, they are one being working together in love and in service to the Lord. No man or woman has the right to come between them. Fornication is the only grounds for divorce in Gods eyes, and He only allows that because of the hardness of men’s hearts.

The first step to a successful Christian marriage is this from 2nd Corinthians 6:14  14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

This is the jumping off point to a good marriage. Make sure that you and your partner are both on the same page spiritually. If you are married to a nonbeliever then your first task is to get your partner saved.
Next Paul advises married couples in Ephesians 5: 21-25 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Husbands and wives must first submit themselves and their marriages to Christ and to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and then to each other remembering that the man is the priest of his home with his wife serving beside him as helpmate.(see also Colossians 3:17-19)
If you find yourselves at odds with your partner, don’t let a day go by without addressing the situation, keep the lines of communication open at all times. Ephesians 4:26,27  26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.

God has ordained marriage and family from the beginning and the Devil has been on a mission to destroy marriages from the beginning. You must take timeout to pray together, study the word together and fast together in order to stay spiritually strong and leave no opening for the enemy to come in. If God is truly the Lord of both your lives, and you keep him first and foremost in everything you do, maintaining an obedient spirit toward Him you will find God will guide you safely through the trials and tribulations of life and marriage. Your marriage will be, and is, as strong as your faith.

TO THE CHURCH IN AMERICA: "OUR FLESH WILL KILL US ALL!!"

Praise the Lord everybody! because He alone is worthy to be praised! The Lord is in His holy temple and He has His eye on the Church in America and He has given me a message for the body of Christ here. Why God has trusted my little blog ministry with this message I do not know but I must be obedient so here it is.

The Lord spoke to me clearly saying "tell them YOUR FLESH WILL KILL YOU ALL" God gave it to me short and to the point and I pass it on to you the same way.

God's word states in 1st John 2:15-17 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

His word also states in Romans 13: 13+14  13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

God spoke again saying "time and time again I have warned you through my word not to Love this world or anything in it and not to make any provision for the flesh yet we have done just that." God does not always speak to me so plainly but this time, he did. He is concerned that We have brought worldly thinking into the Church and made Church policy based on worldly trends and the desires and the lust of the flesh. some of these offenses are not new but have been going on for centuries.

Homosexuals and pedophiles in positions of authority and in ministries. Bullying, gossiping, backbiting, classism, "clicks" and out and out robbery, the list of offences goes on and on and yet there are no signs of turning back.

True men of God are preaching Holiness and the full council of God preach to empty pews while those preaching a more "user-friendly" Gospel preach to overflow crowds of luke warm and carnal Christians. God's word warns of this in 2nd Timothy 4:2-4  2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

We can no longer ignore the fact that Our fleshly desires and lust have no place in the life of those who claim Christ as Lord and savior. We are called to be holy, a royal priesthood, and a peculiar people. While God by His spirit was dealing with me He did not offer a way to appease His anger and make things right. He did not have to, we should already know what we have to do. If you are not sure of what to do then you need to examine yourself and make sure you are really saved.

God is speaking to the elders of the church and to those veterans of the pews who have been sitting on the sidelines of service for years. We are in the last of the last days. Let's get right Church so we can all go home.

SHAKEN BUT NOT FORSAKEN

Praise the Lord, and to God be all the glory. I pray that all that are reading this are enjoying Gods’ blessing, but even as I write these words I know that there are Christians out there that feel that they have somehow been separated or even forsaken by God. This is not abnormal. Many believers go through such periods, even Jesus Himself had a moment of pain and doubt as He hung on the cross and cried out “, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?(see Mark 15:34)
Jesus was able to go on and complete His mission because He knew in His heart that His father would never leave Him because God promised He wouldn’t. The same promise that was made to Jesus was also made to us. God said “my people perish for the lack of knowledge.”(Hosea 4:6) I just want to share with you just a few of the scriptures in the bible where God promises that He would never leave us or forsake us. God gave us his word so that we can use it to empower ourselves in our walk on this earth.
Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5 - [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Joshua 1:9 - Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

1 Chronicles 28:20 - And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do [it]: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, [even] my God, [will be] with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

Those are just a few of the scriptures God has given us in His word to let us know that He never leaves us or forsakes us. We as believers have to stand on His word and not allow circumstances or fear cause us to doubt whether God is with us in any situation we may find ourselves in. It is the enemy who tries to bring fear and doubt into our lives but Got tells us in 2nd Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Even in our darkest moments, when there seems to be no one there to help us we who call ourselves, Disciples, believers and followers of Christ, must grab hold of Gods’ word believing that He who said it will carry out and keep His promises. That is the hallmark of those that are called out to be His. Remember God gave us His word, and His Son the “living word” to let us know that His promises are real.
I hope this will give you a little something to hold onto whenever the enemy seems to be coming in like a flood. I'd like to leave you with the following scripture from Romans chapter 8,  35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
AMEN.

THE GOSPEL OF THE FLESH

Praise the Lord everybody! because He alone is worthy to be praised! Oh it is great to be alive and in Christ, especially in these last and evil days. God is moving by His spirit and so is the enemy and the spirit of the anti-Christ. We as believers must remain steadfast and diligent as we await our day of redemption. As the gospel of Christ continues to be spread throughout the world there is is another gospel that is competing for our attention, and that is the gospel of the flesh.

The word "gospel" means "good news" and the Gospel of Christ is certainly that, but the flesh has it's own "gospel" that it preaches. It whispers in our ears the "good news" of how you and it can live happily together forever, you taking care of it and it taking care of you.

God's word tells us in Galatians 1:6-9     6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Your flesh is what drove your old nature but the word says that anyone who is in Christ "is a new creature, old things have passed away behold all things have become new."(2nd Cor. 5:17) In order to be in Christ, you first have to die to self, and your flesh does not want to die. It wants life and that life more abundantly, but the abundance it wants is not the same abundant life Jesus talks about in the tenth chapter of the book of  John.

Jesus himself said in Matthew 26:4141 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Paul also said in Romans 13:13+14  13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

The flesh lusts after things, even things we need like food, shelter, clothing, and that lust leads to things like obesity, stealing, murder, and all the health and legal problems that go along with that. The lust of the flesh is the root cause of all kinds of addictions, fetishes, and compulsive behaviors. that is why Paul also said in Romans 8:13   13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

I don't know about anybody else but I want to live! Throughout my life, I have listened to the gospel of the flesh, and it has led me down the path of various addictions. I have struggled over the years with my weight, drug addiction, pornography, and masturbation. I had to stop listening to my flesh concerning those things, I became deaf to the flesh and its' siren song. I am still dealing with the aftermath of these struggles especially the weight I gained over the years.

One thing I know, and that is that there is only victory in the spirit and only failure in the flesh. Paul writes in Galatians 5:19-2419 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

This is the true gospel of the flesh and it is not good news unless you use it as a warning. Take it from someone who knows that the flesh is the "root of all kinds of evil."

RELIGION, RELATIONSHIP AND GOD

Praise the Lord everybody. If you are saved or if you have been around Christians you have heard about the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ. You may ask yourself “how do you have a relationship with God? Why would God take time out from His busy schedule to spend time with me?” First, we must define a relationship.
The Dictionary states that Relationship: means, 1. the condition or fact of being related; connection or association.
2. Connection by blood or marriage; or kinship.
3. A particular type of connection existing between people related to or having dealings with each other: has a close relationship with his siblings.
4. A romantic or sexual involvement.
Let us look at numbers 2 and 3; these are the two that come closest to describing the relationship we should have with God.
First of all, having religion does not mean you have a relationship with God. See Matthew 7:21 – 23   21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Religious works and/or ceremony do not equal a relationship. First, we must be covered and washed in the blood of Jesus before we can even be recognized by God. A real Intimate personal relationship with God starts with accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior and then a strong prayer life. How much time you spend with God in your prayer closet is an important factor. Jesus prayed every chance He Got. See Matthew 26:37-39. We must realize that God wants to fellowship with us see Genesis 3:8 and John: 16+17, we are his creation.

The number one benefit of being in right relationship with God is it comes with a gift, and that gift is salvation from our sins, allowing us to have everlasting life in His presence. Without this, we would die in our sin and spend eternity in Hell. Romans 6:22, 23 states 22 but now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

When we are in a relationship with God we not only receive the gift of eternal life but He gives us the power to live a Christ-like selfless life and a helper to lead us on our journey. See John 14:26.

Being in a right relationship as opposed to being on the outs with God is the most important thing a man can do for his eternal security and for his family. David said in Psalms 37: 23-25 23 the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

The benefits of a relationship with Jesus are too many to count, this is just a little something to get your attention,

THE PASTOR OF PRAYER

Praise the Lord everybody, I pray you are all enjoying God’s blessing. I have been sitting here for a few hours now thinking back to when I first got saved. It was a hot summer day in August 1992, I had been running the streets of New York for almost four years chasing the “dragon” known as crack cocaine. This day I walked into a large church someone told me about called Times Square Church, with the hope of scamming them out of some money but God had another plan. As I told the lady at the desk my story she looked deep into my soul and then she said: “We don’t give money out anymore.” My heart dropped and then she picked up her bible and read to me “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you”(Matthew 6:33) I immediately broke down and began sobbing uncontrollably. I was a broken man. As I cried she led me through the "sinners’ prayer" and I gave my life to the Lord and then she sent me to see a man that would change my life, Pastor Billy White.

Pastor White was a true believer and a man of Prayer. He held the unofficial title of “Pastor of prayer” at the time and also pastored the churches homeless outreach and soup kitchen. Billy White taught me the importance of prayer and the power of prayer. He taught me how to “pray through” in other words to pray until something happens. Pastor White was a little pale looking man about 35 years old who was constantly fighting off some kind of cold, drinking hot tea and knocking back ginseng and cold medicine. Despite these things he was a powerful man of God.

Before we would open the doors to the soup kitchen / coffee house ministry he pastored to let the homeless and those in need come inside to eat, Pastor Billy would give us a sort of pep talk sermonette and then he would lead us in prayer for what seemed to be about two hours. We would be in their corporately praying, tearing down strongholds and binding up dark spirits and losing the power of the Holy Spirit so that our outreach would go forth without incident. Pastor Billy taught me the importance of spiritual warfare. After all the prayer that went on in our little Chapel/ cafeteria you could feel the prayer as soon as you walked in and we never had an episode of violence there in all those years.

Pastor white was the first to recognize my calling and it is because of him I am known as a praying man today. Billy White passed away about ten years ago but I will never forget his zeal and his fiery prayers. He had a burden for the homeless and addicts. Getting them into discipleship programs including myself who he got into a place called Timothy House, one of the best programs in New York at the time. I flourished there as God groomed me for such a time as this. I thank God for Billy White and the training I received under his ministry and that training is still with me today. I pray you all find your own Billy White someday and if yours is still alive send them some love their way while you still can.

THE BUNNY IS WINNING!!

Praise the Lord everybody!! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! I pray everyone is enjoying Gods' blessing on this resurrection Sunday.

I began writing this post today, "Easter" Sunday to the world and known as "resurrection" Sunday to most of us Christians because I noticed something different in the spirit this year. Even though I could not get out to Church because of my disability my wife was able to get out to our Church today and she was able to confirm what I had been feeling.

The Bunny is winning! Where are all the "Church folk" with all their finery crowding into churches in reverence to the Lord? On a day that the joy of the Lord is usually seen and felt everywhere, there was a distinct lack of fanfare for our "risen" Savior throughout the city and even the nation. I couldn't even find a decent sunrise Resurrection day service on television or cable, but everywhere I looked on T.V. or social media the "Bunny" was leading the charge.

There were Easter egg hunts everywhere including the White House. Commercials about chocolate bunnies and Cadbury Easter eggs were everywhere. Facebook was filled with pictures of children and pets dressed up as bunnies, and a lot were posted by so called Christians. I asked myself "where are the tributes to the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

Are these the times Jesus was talking about in Matthew 24: 3-14  3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Anyone with eyes can see that we are in the Last days and Jesus said that in those last days that "the love of many shall wax cold." Their love for their fellow man and their love for Jesus shall and is dwindling away and it becomes more evident everyday. On the day that celebrates Jesus Christ rise from the grave after dying on a cross for the Sin of mankind, the bunny got more media coverage and more reverence.

In a time when every Christian holiday is being downsized, it is time for Christians to take a stand, especially in the United States of America. The spirit of the anti-Christ is running rampant in America where Christians are trying to blend into the world rather than resisting the world in order to show the world a better way.

Brothers and sisters the bunny is winning and it's time for us to wake up.
